Run under the personal supervision of resident owners, Carol and Bill Bardo Archaeological excavations brought to light a 7th century Saxon site on the farm, but the earliest documented reference was in 1270 when John Atte More was the owner. In 1455 it was granted Manor status. The Manor of Mores or Moors still exists in the farmhouse of that name.
