History
Built in 1959, as an apartment building, this 189,000 square-foot building sits on top of a hill on Sunset Boulevard, overlooking downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It was reopened in 1996 by Morgans Hotel Group as the Shore Club Hotel with design by the renowned designer Philippe Starck.

Design Features
Indoor/Outdoor Lobby - The original Asia de Cuba, serving a blend of Asian and Latin cuisine, is under the direction of Jeffrey Chodorow, whose Asia de Cuba outposts in Morgans Hotel in NYC, St Martins Lane in London and San Francisco’s Clift.
SeaBar – it offers a “Floating Bar” that has no bartenders.
Outdoor Area – An International Collection of Furniture and Objects, with no fixed arrangement that are completely moveable throughout the space. . These works span over a century and continents of North and South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, including Spain, France, Sweden, Italy, Germany and Great Britain.
Pool – a heated pool with underwater classical music.
