Description
I was born in August 1930 in South West London, and in 1936 my parents moved to a village near Windsor, Berkshire, where I stayed until my marriage to Rita in 1957.By this time, I had served an Engineering apprenticeship, qualified as an Engineer in factory production, and had further qualified in Factory Management.
In 1985, Rita and I moved to our home in Cornwall, England, with a total change in our lifestyle, including an interest in architectural modelling. I began to realise after following the progress of the master modellers past and present, that architectural modelling is the background to successfully demonstrating dollshouse furniture, model railways, open - air museums, and exhibitions in general.
It is with this in mind that Webworld-uk and I, have presented this website, in the hope that by modelling actual buildings, either rebuilt at an open-air museum site, or standing at a rural industrial/commercial site like railway stations, we can introduce the different ( vernacular ) styles architecture, both in the United Kingdom and around the world.
