About this site (and its owner)
I am Michael Boyle, and my wife Nadia and I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I have been maintaining this blog since February 2000.
I grew up in Ottawa spent a great deal of my adult life in Montreal, and then moved back to Ottawa in July 2005. I lived in Banff for a while in the early 90s, and sometimes still long for the life I was building for myself there. I thought Montreal was going to remain my home forever, but things change and I'm really happy to be back in Ottawa.
I am a web marketing and publishing consultant who has an interesting practice focused on helping companies both small and large deal with the complexities involved with making a commitment to not just have a placeholder on the web but to investigate ways to integrate the web into existing operations in a much more complete manner. For many of my clients that means trying to incorporate techniques commonly identified by the term "Web 2.0". There are dozens of areas of intense promise to companies in this area, and I help them figure out the best solution and then to implement that.
