Marr Sensei is also highly respected for his technical knowledge of Shotokan Karate; conducting seminars and gradings in Canada and throughout North America. In addition, he is well known for his sense of humour and his dynamic personality.
In 1964 he began studying under Sensei Fusaro, 7th Dan of Minneapolis. Prior to that, in 1961, he received his 1st Dan in Judo.
