Metrology Plus, LLC was opened in December 1997. It was the dream that a Metrologist named Tracey L. Faucett, Sr. had while working for an automotive supplier. Many times fit and function questions were asked when outsourced parts arrived from various other suppliers. Upon investigation, many of these suppliers had no capabilities to measure automotive parts in a 3D Cad Environment. 3D had become a fast and new tool that many tier one suppliers knew about, but was seldom used on the tier two and tier three level. With this in mind, Metrology Plus, LLC was created.
The company had a humble beginning indeed. The business was opened out of the home of Tracey and equipment was often borrowed or rented. Sometimes a stroke of luck would happen when the customer would ask Tracey to use their equipment instead. As fate would have it, the company doubled from 1997 to 1999. The territory went from three counties in Upstate South Carolina, to Seven States in the Southeast. (SC, NC, Virginia, Georgia, Ala, Fla. & Tenn.) The product lines have also diversified. When the company first started, small parts were all the company could handle. Now, Metrology Plus, LLC has expanded its capabilities to include Aerospace, Sheet Metal Car Bodies, Heavy Machinery, Lawn and Garden, Golf Carts, ATV’s, Pipe, Gages, Gears, Housings, and still growing. We attribute our growth to the constant pursuit of excellence in our field.
In 2003 , Metrology Plus, LLC became a subsidiary of Techno Plus, Inc. This new company structure was designed to separate the different services offered. Our other subsidiary, Quality Plus, LLC , provides Quality Consulting, Technical Project Management, Sorting, 3rd Party Containment, Reworking, and Quality Training. These subsidiaries helped Techno Plus, Inc. to become the first “Total Quality Solution Provider” in the South-East.
