A platform for realizing creative projects at an individual and organization level. Metal Seinen stands as a gathering point for creative individuals looking towards fulfilling their goals or achieving their dreams.
Description
Metal Seinen is an innovative organization which depends on a system of mutual benefits. That being said, the purpose of metal seinen is to allow creative ideas to develop, these ideas in our society are often repressed, we aim to change that, and allow people to bring forward those ideas.
If the idea is feasible, creative and within the domain of the talent pool, it will be undertaken under a mutual benefit scheme.
This platform also offers the opportunity to participate in projects offered by organizations or SMBs. Any project which comes forward can be participated in, granted the individual shows the dedication and talent for the domain in which the project resides. These projects can be either documentaries, technical/gaming activities or other media related activities.
Mutual Benefit
This initiative relies on a system of mutual benefits. By mutual benefits, the results which come from collaborative projects are shared. Everyone has their own ideas and goals; this system allows a collaborative effort to reach those goals.
An example of this system:
you contact the group with a creative project which you wished to do but couldn’t, we discuss whets the project and go about doing it with the collaboration we have with our members--you want to make a world cup song and have lyrics but no composition
we get you a pop rocker who helps you make that composition, the song is practiced and put in a geo competition, --the song is joint property of metal seinen,
One might ask what the mutual benefit in all this is. The answer is; the individual who came up with the song had the opportunity to create it and can now use it for the geo competition, the individual can also add it into his/her portfolio and even move onto managing or advising such projects. The musician has a similar benefit, adding it to his portfolio, giving out a sample CD and moving onto further projects.
Another example which came forward was:
An artist came up and had an idea for the story of a manga (comic). The artist wanted fellow artists, scriptwriters; basically a support team with which he could properly create a manga (comic) even if it were only on the web.
The artist met up with a musician who did his OST for promotion purposes, while in return the artist received album art, band logo art. Similarly he met with a web developer who was working on the open source CMS- Joomla- they mutually agreed to helping each other out, creating a site for the manga, while having the experience of creating such a website for CV/portfolio purposes.
An important issue which arises is the common ground which all these collaborations depend on.

Collaborative Process A major point of contention is the likelihood of two or more people gathering to collaboratively complete a project for mutual benefits. Most people will affirm the notion that ‘work without pay’ is not possible.
What Metal Seinen strives to prove is that creative projects inspire creative talent within people making them work for benefits which may be tangible or not.
Granted that one cannot survive on good intentions alone; we have come up with different kinds of collaborations based on member, non-members and organizations.
Individuals who show a creative flair and motivation for projects can be inducted as members. Members can then forward their personal ideas and projects for collaboration, they can either decide for a tradeoff for benefits or whatever terms they can decide with the members participating in the collaboration.
People who do not wish to participate in collaborations can actively send their project requests. These projects will be undertaken by the relevant members who have experience in that area; since these projects are from non-members they will have to pay a certain charged amount for the project (dependent on hours and rate). Referrals by members are rewarded by a certain percentage commission from the project.
A similar setting for organizations exists, they will have to pay a charged amount for projects and if applicable under conditions, provide equipment/support.
The aim for referring projects and accepting projects from organizations is to form a certain base from which the metal seinen platform can grow. The projects accepted will allow industry experience for the relevant members.
Introducing a collaborative system is the prelude to creating an interconnected web of creative people who are not afraid to share their ideas and develop them. This idea is different from then that of a venture capitalist, as it requires people to actively participate in the success of their projects and induce creativity in others.
In today’s world of globalization, this system allows the integration of communities and creative talent across the globe, any project can be accepted across the web as well, though that matter comes under special conditions.
