About Meditec
Meditec offers e-Learning, computer-based courses designed to meet the training and certification needs of specific professions. The programs offered are in medical and health, business, legal, insurance, information technology and real estate. The company has recently expanded its programs to culinary, social media and fitness programs. Today, Meditec has over 40 years of experience in the business and over 17 years online.

History
In 1969, Jari Davis, a medical statistical coder-abstractor-reviewer and data processing coordinator, founded Meditec, Inc. a medical transcription company offering out-source transcription services for hospitals and physicians. She further expanded into innovative systems for outsourcing dictation and transcription, management and sales, and refined training processes for medical transcriptionists.
In 1979, Meditec offered one of the first versions of online timeshare billing and patient management services to healthcare professionals and hospitals for remote applications. That same year, medical billing, coding, consulting and practice management were also added to its services.
In the early 1990’s a staff member of Meditec saw the opportunity of the internet through online education. In 1994, the company opened its first online medical training courses on the internet.

Curriculum
At Meditec, a student can study and revisit lessons anytime and anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. The self-paced programs are career-focused and accredited by the National Health Association (NHA).
Low-Cost
Prices of courses are relatively lower than those offered by state colleges and universities. Meditec accepts MyCAA grants and Post 9/11 GI Bill funding.
