My fatigue disorder began in 1986 when I contracted shingles - the adult form of Chickenpox. The virus triggered the onset of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (known in the UK as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis - M.E.).
Over time, just brushing my teeth in the morning became an effort and showering completely wiped me out. I had a severe form of undiagnosed fatigue and didn't know it. I judged myself as being unfit and lazy. This lasted for ten long years.
I found no answers from conventional medicine, not even an acknowledgement that M.E. actually existed. So after years of struggle, denial and dead-ends, I finally turned to holistic medicine for some answers. Here I found a wealth of understanding and practical knowledge that turned around my condition within a year.
