- UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCHES --- This site serves the Mountain-Desert District (MDD) of the Unitarian-Universalist Association (UUA), its congregations, their members, district committees, affiliated organizations and visitors seeking information of district services and its 50 (approx) member congregations. The MDD encompasses five of the United States from Montana to New Mexico, plus parts of Idaho, Nebraska and Texas. Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion with Judeo-Christian roots, without creed, which affirms the worth of human beings, advocates freedom of belief and the search for advancing truth. It tries to provide a supportive community for all who believe that ethical living is the supreme witness of religion.
