Founded in 1978, the Maumee Eye Clinic is a multi-specialty eye clinic with an emphasis on refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and glaucoma treatment. Our office is staffed by ophthalmologists, optometrists, and certified technicians – all of whom are prepared to provide you with high-quality eye care.
Our office is located near St. Luke’s Hospital at the junction of the Anthony Wayne Trail and Interstate 475 at 5655 Monclova Rd. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m. Free consultation appointments are available at the Maumee Eye Clinic to determine your candidacy for laser vision correction or conductive keratoplasty.
Dr. Weidaw has practiced ophthalmology in Maumee, Ohio since 1978 and has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1977. Dr. Weidaw received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute and subsequently received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1972. After serving his internship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Dr. Weidaw returned to Toledo and the Medical College of Ohio to complete his ophthalmology residency in 1976, where he was chief resident. From 1976 to 1978, Dr. Weidaw fulfilled his military obligation by serving as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
