Title

Mashups.com : The ultimate resource for all types of Mash-ups

Description

The term mashup used to refer solely to the musical form of combining two or more tracks. But more recently the term mashups has been 'adopted' by the software community to refer to the blending of different software programs. But whatever is being referenced there is some disagreement about what term should be used.

Some people hyphenate the word as Mash-up, others say Hashups, Cutups, Blends and (for Musical mashups) Bootlegs. So, for the sake of consistency, we have chosen to use the terms mashup and mashups throughout this site. To distinguish between the two we call them either Music mashups or Software mashups.

But whatever you call them, mashups are definitely here to stay as more and more people discover ways to bring together two or more things, whether they be music or software, to create a brand new thing in its own right.
