MARSHALL ARTS is a family owned gallery. Graeme and Ros Marshall have had an association with Aboriginal Art since 1973. As an Accountant in Alice Springs from 1973-1975, Graeme visited various Aboriginal communities, including Papunya, Yuendumu, Santa Teresa and Balgo. These visits offered an invaluable insight into the richness and diversity of Aboriginal culture and coincided with the emergence of the Western Desert Art Movement. Graeme was fortunate to meet many of the 'movements' founding artists and to view a broad range of early work from Papunya. These experiences had a profound and lasting impact which culminated in the creation of Marshall Arts; a gallery specialising in investment quality contemporary Aboriginal Art.
MARSHALL ARTS aims to present investment quality Aboriginal Art from community based art organisations; this ensures maximum financial return for artists and their communities. Aboriginal Art not only provides cultural, political and economic benefits but also offers a window from which to view the depth and diversity of one of the oldest living cultures in the world. Our gallery offers work from renowned artists who are represented in major public and private collections, as well as works from outstanding emerging artists. All paintings are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the relevant art community.
