Margot Parlette began teaching private violin and viola in 1978. She has maintained a studio ever since and received extensive teacher training throughout those years. Her first Suzuki training was in 1978 with John Kendall in California, with Mimi Zweig at Indiana University, and a year of study with Shinichi Suzuki in Matsumoto, Japan. She has always maintained a performing career in addition to teaching, having played in many orchestras, chamber groups, and summer festivals.
