- Mama Says Wash!™ was started in November 2002 by mere accident! I first started making soap in my kitchen for Christmas gifts for family and friends in October 2002. I wanted to create a gift that was handmade, unique and useful; one that I could personalize for each person on my list. Before I knew it, my closet was overflowing with hundreds of bars of soap, my husband was giving me "the look" and the "addiction" had begun. Friends and family raved about my soaps and asked if I they could buy them from me. I knew I had better start selling if I was going to be able to support my new "habit." It was then that my entrepreneurial instinct surfaced and I realized "Hey, I could make a business out of this!" And thus, Mama Says Wash!™ was born.
