- The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts will this summer be presenting the 16th edition of the Malta Jazz Festival. Held over three nights between the 16th and 18th July 2009, this year’s jazz festival returns to the breathtaking views of the Grand Harbour at its original venue; Ta’ Liesse. This year’s event aims to restore the Malta Jazz Festival to its former glory by featuring a line-up of top international and Maltese artists who will be presenting an eclectic mix of jazz styles from the current musical scene. Artistic direction is in the hands of Paris-based Maltese Jazz Guitarist/Composer Sandro Zerafa. Entrance is at a nominal charge with concessions for students and elderly citizens, as well as block ticket offers.
