Greetings from Main Street Mom, the magazine for modern mothers with traditional values, devoted to the support and encouragement of every mother who is at home full-time with her children.
Main Street Mom was formed by two moms who met through a local Moms & Tots group in West Virginia in the Spring of 1998. Since then, we have shared concerns with each other about needing something to do while we are at home that might offer encouragement to other moms.
Having spent several years in responsible positions in the workforce, we found it hard to be away from the adult community, contributing to that which is considered by many people to be "important." However, after having been home for a time, we both realized that what we do could not be more important. Mothers form the next generation and contribute significantly to future generations. We wanted other mothers to know that we are behind them 100% and offer them the bolstering that we all need sometimes to forge forth with our roles.
