• March 1994: Southern Maritime Consulting & Service Center (MACS HO CHI MINH CITY) established by Vietnam National Maritime Bureau (VINAMARINE) which is the authority delegated by the Vietnam Government / Ministry of Transport to administer all maritime matters in Vietnam.
• March 2000: Keeping pace with the changing business environment in Vietnam, changed name to Southern Maritime Service Enterprise (MACS HO CHI MINH CITY) and became a State owned fully autonomous enterprise.
• December 2000: In response to further changes in business environment in Vietnam, changed name and company format to become a shareholding company – Maritime Service Company Inc. (MACS HO CHI MINH CITY).
