Description
The home farm located at 1512 Kent Road, was originated in the early nineteen hundreds by George and Beatrice Roberts when they came to America from England. Through the years, grandson, Lynn Roberts, became interested in the farming operation, which at the time consisted of 130 acres. When George wanted to retire, Lynn and his wife Annette decided to purchase and continue the operations of the Roberts family farm.
Lynn increased the farms family element to include all three sons and his son-in-law. In 1986 Lynn incorporated the farm and changed the name of the farm from Lynn Roberts to Lynn-Ette & Sons, Inc., utilizing both his and Annette’s names. Lynn-Ette & Sons Land Company, L.L.C was established in 1997 to involve sons Robin, Darren and son-in-law Greg Jurs.
Today Lynn-Ette & Sons, Inc. operates about 7,000 acres per year. Our vegetable and fruit crops include fresh market and storage cabbage, cucumbers, fresh market green, yellow and Romano beans, zucchini, dry corn, soy beans, wheat, squash, pumpkins, pears, apples, strawberries, peaches, nectarines, and raspberries.
