League of Women Voters of Bay Village

Description

Three years before the Village of Bay officially became the City of Bay Village, the League of Women Voters was there, studying the proposed charter form of government which was approved by the voters on April 12, 1949. In the ensuing years, the Bay League has studied critical issues, held public forums, organized nonpartisan Candidates' Nights and mailed out Voters' Guides to residents every election year.

While the names and faces have changed, the Bay League continues to provide nonpartisan voter service and advocacy on important public policy issues. In the 21st Century, the League is continuing this legacy of empowerment for the citizens of Bay Village.
