Description
The London Symphony Chorus is one of the leading choirs in London, UK, and one of the most highly respected non-professional choirs in the world. The LSC performs choral concerts regularly with major orchestras, soloists and conductors worldwide and has a particularly close relationship with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and its home at the Barbican in London.
Formed in 1966 to complement the work of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Chorus consists of over 160 amateur singers from all walks of life. Prospective new members can audition to join the choir. As one of the most successful choirs in London, the LSC regularly attracts new singers.
The director of the LSC is Simon Halsey.
