Kindermusik Family Time A one-room schoolhouse approach to music. In ten weeks, you'll play instruments together, dance together, share, and take turns, and see how music can bring you closer as a family. With older children ready to show the little ones how it's done and the younger ones eager to learn, Family Time becomes a multi-layered learning environment. Each week, Amber-Leigh, a licensed Kindermusik® Educator, will introduce basic musical concepts and then give you the instruments, and the structured free time to put those concepts into play.
Your children will listen to instruments and to each other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play. Story time and family jams, puppet play and happy singing—all the Family Time activities encourage discovery and exploration and foster sharing and social skills too. In this special place for musical, social and emotional learning, your children will strengthen their ties with each other and with you—and they'll start developing the skills they'll need in school and on the neighborhood playground.
Enjoy the Journey All Week Long Each family receives a set of At Home Materials designed to integrate the classroom learning experience with the fun, Friday night activities you do together as a family. With music from class, story books, and creative play ideas and trivia, At Home Materials help your children associate learning with the unique time you spend together, bonding as a family. Repetition and family involvement in a child's learning is a fundamental cornerstone of the Kindermusik® philosophy because we believe the parent is the child's most important teacher and the home is the most important place for a child's learning to take root and grow.

Kindermusik Village
A loving introduction to music for infants. Imagine your child swinging softly in a blanket or dancing with you around a maypole. Village provides a delightful environment unlike any other. Signing Smart infant signing program for hearing children Open the door to early communication. Looking to make signing with your hearing baby or toddler simple, fun, and successful from the very first day? Signing Smart™ makes it easy! With our research-proven strategies and techniques, there's no need to sign with your infant or toddler every time you say a word! Our materials and programs use American Sign Language (ASL) signs and teach you when and how to sign most effectively, and which signs to use within routines and play. When you teach your baby signs using Signing Smart™ strategies, you open the door to early communication, facilitated speech, increased intimacy, and long-term learning!

Intermediate Play Class Series: Long-term Learning The Signing Smart™ Intermediate Play Class Series is for families who have completed at least one session of the Beginner Series and are looking to expand and extend the benefits of Signing Smart™. Building off the familiar structure of the Beginner Series, we integrate signs and Signing Smart™ strategies into gross motor play, large and small group activities, reading, storytelling, singing, and much more; however, the activities, interactions, and signs in the Intermediate Series are more advanced and are designed to take children to the "next level" with both signing and speaking.
Holiday Play Class Series The Signing Smart™ Holiday Play Class Series is for families who sign with their babies and are looking for a fun-filled way to ring in the winter holiday season. These non-religious parent-child classes include engaging activities and songs that incorporate ASL signs that are related to holiday and winter themes from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. From new foods your child is eating to relatives he or she sees but once a year, the classes do more than teach families the signs for the holidays themselves - they give you a way to communicate with your child about all the wondrous aspects of the season.
Zoo Play Class Series The Signing Smart™ Zoo Play Class Series is for families who are looking to expand the benefits of signing in a fun contextual way. Trips to the San Francisco Zoo, Oakland Zoo, Palo Alto Junior Museum, Coyote Point, and more are a fun and exciting way to keep children signing.

Signing Smart™ Yahoo Group: As a benefit of enrollment, all participants in Songs and Signs’ Signing Smart™ programming are invited (via email) to join our on-line discussion group. This is a group exclusively for Signing Smart™ families to share stories, ask questions, and receive advice and support from the program developers, as well as other instructors and families around the nation who utilize Signing Smart™ techniques. There is a button at the top of the group’s page that says "Join This Group," which will begin the approval process. Little Lessons, Big Beginnings is your independent source for "Becoming a Love & Logic® Parent" and "Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun" workshops. Five week sessions are available in the fall, winter, and spring quarters.
Additional sessions and one-day or two-day workshops are available on request to organizations. Please contact us for pricing and details for additional sessions. Registration for Fall 2007 will begin in August.
Love & Logic® workshops fulfill court mandates for parenting skills classes. Many organizations offer CEUs for Love & Logic® workshops. Please contact us for details.
