Allow us to invite you heartfully in one of the most beautiful and for tourists the most interesting regions of the Slovakia. The founder of Slovak tourism and author of first slovak touristic guides Miloš Janoška this region, in regarding to natural beauties, marked as the most beautiful in the Slovakia in his book The beauties of Liptov already in 1947. The area of Liptov is rich in cultural memories and is characteristic by original folk architecture and folklore (Vlkolínec, Východná, Sliaèe, Liptovská Osada, Liptovská Lúžna and others). Liptov is surrounded by biggest mountains in the Slovakia: Vysoké Tatry, Západné Tatry and Choè hills on the north, Nízke Tatry on the south, Ve¾ká Fatra on the west and Poprad fold on the east. There is river Váh running through the Liptov in length 43,5 km and its tributary Belá. There is also situated known dam Liptovská Mara. This region offers (besides skiing and hiking) also less traditional sports such as paragliding, rafting, riding a horse, speleologic service, look-out flights, mountaineering, hunting, fishing. Known are thermal swimming pools in Bešeòová and Liptovský Ján. Demänovská valley, Bocká valley, Jánska valley, Maliné, Jasná, Chopok are sought winter centres.
