LifeLine AIDS Project was founded in October 1996 as a means of supplying holiday food baskets and gifts to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families in the mid-Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. LifeLine has grown into a full service organization and provides education and prevention information and assists with services and items that are ineligible under the federal Ryan White Care Act. LifeLine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community based organization (CBO) registered in the State of Oregon, and funded through grants, fundraisers, private donations, and our thrift store sales. All cash and non-cash donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by IRS Tax Regulations and Oregon State Law (ORS 128.610). Our EIN is 93-1277661. Food, new and good used clothing, blankets, household items, and pet food may also be donated and is greatly appreciated. LifeLine provides assistance to men, women, and children living in Marion, Polk and Linn Counties infected or affected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). LifeLine projects include Emergency Food Boxes, Food Vouchers, Utility Assistance, Cherriots Bus Passes, Medical Expense Assistance, Dental Expense Assistance, Insurance Expense Assistance, Safer Sex Information and Education Outreach, Condom Distribution, Speaker's Bureau, 'People to People' HIV Positive Support Group, Holiday Food Boxes and Gifts, World AIDS Day events, and fundraising events throughout the community. Client services are available by contacting your local county health department's HIV/AIDS case manager.
