WHAT I DO John Rushton

HELPING THOSE IN TRANSITION

John’s ability to transform the dull and staid into something tangible, gracious, stable, ebullient, fun, lighter, directional and purposeful is what makes him in demand with not only those who lead hectic and public lives, but those who matter in industry and commerce too.

When energy is required in life, John has the transitional qualities to help those achieve personal clarity and regain a youthful excitement in what may have been lost or covered up in the years of striving to achieve. Overcoming residual personal stress, anxiety and mayhem brought about by families, children, parents and those around. The need is there for fuelling renewed vigour to cope with today’s computer driven stresses and public appearances, international trading ‘red screen’ syndrome, executive decisions, globalisation of thought into defined categories , multi-country lateral thinking, out of the box experiential concepts linking personal values of different countries with corporate edicts and production as well as fluid and cohesive structures that define and defend their purposeful abilities.

Linking the alienated with the knowledgeable, bridging what was thought of but not ventured with the possibility of real delivery of infinitesimal availability brought about by subtle as well as drastic changes. The structural differences between oil and sugar equate to one molecule, such is the difference often overlooked in human analysis looking for something so deep and so meaningful that the human element of love and passion is overlooked. Without meaning and purpose humans become sterile and impotent beings. The “self help” and therapist brigade all venturing upon the unstable never quite sure what solid a foundation they have thus degrees of permanent unrest become the ‘norm’ and life from thereon is a wash with indifference and confusion, and after that uncertainty and unhappiness ensue.

The New Age rubbish which is peddled so heavily with Eastern Philosophies which haven’t done much in the East and talk of ‘spiritual’ awareness of help for the moment, leads only to waking up with the self same thoughts, feelings, situation, problems and consternation. Those around might just not have changed at all, still pressing heavily with staid, dull, localised thoughts that reside only within their own minds and as such produce limited as opposed to unlimited mutual thinking, this in turn leads to dowdy and dull conversations that are without life, substance and smack of others personal stances that strategically by default direct and veer away from the clear and fresh to the bland, lacklustre and produce repetitive ideas that run out of steam.

Treating the symptoms may be of help and give physical relief and pleasure such as in massage and deep luxury baths, etc, but by far it’s much more succinct to treat the causes, once those are dealt with a permanent lightness rests throughout the body and any ancillary treatments are just icing on the cake. One shouldn’t have to put up with a days hard gruelling every second looking forward to end time to walk away for some respite. Enjoyment is the positive way forward not drudgery.

Many of life’s disappointments are self engineered, and when things don’t materialise the way we would like in whatever aspect of life, we feel somewhat low, let down, etc, and look to other ways in which to achieve our goal(s), only to find at length that there are many other possibilities that will lead to even better things and even greater happiness that initially our narrow ideas had well overlooked.

People today more than ever before are in a transitory life, evolving and having to re-invent or re-discover themselves. Sometimes re-learn aspects of life from different perspectives and change vocations, change views of who they are often fortunately for the better. Old established ideas about themselves vis a vie life itself can be crippling and have no other foundation other than the life that one tends to give such thoughts. These mind blocks can open up the possibilities of dormant thoughts and abilities and areas of life that spring out as they are so real they resonate deeply within us often catching us off guard in the process. Like a first love that sets our emotions on edge and we do silly things having just been intoxicated by feelings of desire and passion, our new breakthrough in life can render what was once impossible as now attainable, and without question too.

The corporate entity that needs dwellers at the apex to flourish in order to drive the mechanisms lower down has real needs to cosset employees with an air of certainty within themselves, doubt has a form or rubbing off and volatile areas of commerce need to be able to see glitches in the armour of finance and credulity in order for them to always keep one step ahead. Even when the stakes are high the degree of mental collapse or relapse is even higher, these issues can be resolved, not via alcohol, drugs, gifts, bonuses, etc, but by solidifying the mind and causing it to respond to a more even beat that in itself gives stability and reason above tempers, anger, touchiness, tempera mentality and even deceit. Self illusions of grandeur are as bad as self doubts and the happy medium is to be striven for at all times, if not then negativity will slip in so quickly that it will threaten the existence of all who are associated with the individual(s) concerned

The depths of ‘nothingness’ are to be despised, yet how many fall into pits of their own creation, their judgment of others and situations yet from afar it’s just so easy to pass comment. The creative are always creative, but the degree to which they can excel is definable, and no amount of zany ancillary ‘fluffiness’ around them will arouse what needs to be excited by stability for it to open up and flourish. Similarly, likeminded souls who need to ‘see’ creatively in their own respective fields and not be bogged down by errors of overlooking and ‘not seeing’ need to have stability for their mind focus to come alive and provide an accuracy that’s going to provide a peace and dedicated atmosphere of competence as opposed to one which just manages to get by.

Media and television are fickle, they need to excite whilst remaining credible, yet sometimes to do both together is counter productive, it can also be boring too, the art of linking up and programme profile building to make everything seem larger and more pertinent often loses the plot as to what the subject matter was from the start. The researchers, producers, managers getting lost in a media hype that becomes the ‘norm’ and who now ‘see’ everything from a pre-destined perspective which has both ‘bias’ and ‘truth’ at loggerheads in the art of one upmanship of selling the story in the here and now, tomorrow it’s a case of ‘who cares’ – next.

His current radio programmes on the BBC, ILR and SKY Network always prove popular and bring comfort, hilarity, directness, and listener value every time.

Additional Information

WHO AM I JOHN RUSHTON.

Brief History

Was born in Leeds and lives his childhood in a little village just outside called Barwick-in-Elmet. From leaving school went to Leeds University to study business management and Creative Studies.

From there he moved to Thetford in Easy Anglia where he took up a position in a photographic practice as photographer and stayed there for just over a year.

Moving on he then joined Seagram Distillers on the international side overseeing UK produced product for shipment to international markets.

After Seagram John moved to RF International where he was International Manager and travelled the world setting up franchise operations, overseeing sales and marketing in global markets, and designing new products for specific countries to increase the product range and franchise, as well as improve and increase bottom line results.

From Seagram, John was then head hunted and joined Cheesborough Ponds, as a manager in charge of Middle East and African markets, where he introduced a whole range of hitherto new and exciting cosmetic and toiletries to a market that was traditionally conservative and restrictive.

From there he joined PD international where he was Director of International Sales, and again travelled extensively throughout the globe sorting out trouble areas, developing new markets and enhancing and expanding current markets, in addition to setting up local manufacturing operations.

After this time, he then left and set up his own consultancy specialising in offering his knowledge and ability to sort out problems in global markets, knowing how “real” business operates as opposed to “text book” stuff and advice from organisations that had never travelled. His knowledge of global markets and what they ate, drank, wore, their customs, religions, ethnicities, traits, business methods, communicational styles, interpretations of life and business , ethical values or lack of them, family values, etc, empowered him to make breakthroughs where others failed.

His abilities to ‘see’ beyond the horizon in many areas caused him to change track and form his own company to ‘offer’ advice to initially ‘high profile’ people who has lost direction and cause and put them back on track. This lead successfully to increasing his areas of expertise to publishing, lecturing, workshops, etc, and this keeps him well in demand globally too. Always allowing others to think out of the box as a starting point and reaching to their highest goals whilst maintaining stability.

John’ main area now rests in emotions. If you are emotionally stable you can handle anything, if you are not emotionally stable then life is an eternal up hill struggle regardless of the trappings of life you may have around you. This target market always keeps him well in demand from a very impressive list of clients stretching over many continents, travelling all the time.

For recreation he loves to cook and likes to entertain, still loves travelling, a wine enthusiast, gardening, the arts, and held a pilot’s licence, and until he had an operation on his knee used to practise martial arts, now confines his energy to swimming. His love for writing is ever present and never goes out without his notepad or hand held recorder for those moments when he gets inspiration. John holds Christian values that have kept him well placed in life.
