- I am Carol, owner of Lela Lu's. I am a Carrollton, Georgia native, born and raised. I was a Licensed Optician , and in the optical field for 20 years prior to opening Lela Lu's. After getting back into Community Theatre last year, I realized that West Georgia needed a Dance and Gymnastic retailer. So, I decided to make a career change and thus "Lela Lu's" was born. My husband, Clete and three children Caylon, Cashlyn, and CJ have all been very encouraging and helped to make this dream a reality. Many of you ask, "Where did the name come from?". Well, my grandmother's name, "Lela" Eason and my mother inlaw's name, Barbara "Lou" Shadinger.
