It all began 4-5 decades back with late SHRI SHANABHAI DARUBHAI PATEL, who started off by working in a small pulse processing plant at Vasad - the leading TOOR DAL processing centre in the world. He initially started it with a hand mill having a very low processing capacity at the dal city of Vasad, located on the banks of the holy river Mahisagar, in the industrial state of Gujarat, under the brand name of LPPPL, a brand name chosen by himself. This aspiration to make LPPPL TOOR DAL a household name exceeded his expectation as it gained loyal customers and more demand. The demands proved that the quality was accepted and admired.
