Dr. Ballantyne has been married to Helen Kilgrew Ballantyne for 21 years. Mrs. Ballantyne earned a B.A. at Simmons College in Boston and an M.A. Phi Beta Kappa in Early Childhood Education at Teachers College of Columbia University. Dr. and Mrs. Ballantyne have five children: John (27 years old) is a computer programer for Entertainment Arts (EA) working on the new version of Command and Conquer, Mary (26 years old) works in the Contemporary Art section of Sotheby's in New York City, Elizabeth (24 years old) is teaching second grade in a New York City private scholl, James (21 years old) is a computer science and mathematics major at Hamilton College in upstate New York, and Ann (17 years old) is a Freshman at the University of Denverl.
