The langskip is built by Skipavik a shipyard in Stykkisholmur a small town on the west coast of Iceland. Skipavik dates back to 1928 and has been servicing the local fishing fleet since then and building wooden oak plank fishingboats for for 80 years. We are not newcomers to shipbuilding but the Langskip is our first yacht. We have a reputation for building solid boats that can withstand the harsh enviroment of the North Atlantic, and the Langskip meets our standards.
