Koon Huat Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Malaysia as a private limited company on 1st August 1973 specialising in general hardware merchandising. Since its inception and almost a decade into trading of general hardware, we have chose to rationalised our business growth plans and to streamline with our founders vision to be a leader and the largest paint distributor in the country and South East Asia. Hence, the transformation name changed in 1983 to Koon Huat Sdn. Bhd., as a reflection of our vision from which was formerly known as Koon Huat Hardware Sdn. Bhd..
We have grown from strength to strength as being a family owned and run business into one of the biggest wholesaler and exporter in Malaysia for decorative and industrial paints for ICI Paints and other leading paints manufacturer in the country.
Today , we have build on a strong and supportive dealer's network distribution channel in Malaysia. In the region, efforts are constantly being planned out to build on our vision of being the leading paint distributor. We have forged alliances with major trading partners in the region namely China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Brunei and Myanmar to assist us in establishing a market for our products.
