HTML, XML and DOM are important technologies that play a big role in today's software world. They can be of good use in a big number of projects. We have developed high-quality implementations of these standards and wish to make them available to others free of charge. In return we hope to improve the quality of the code by increasing the developer and user base.

The audience are developers of free as well as commercial software that wish to enhance the software and/or make the software part of their applications. Instead of duplicating the work required for implementing, fixing and testing features we can benefit from each other's expertise and efforts by centralizing our communication and efforts.

We also wish to increase the mindshare among developers of web pages and applications that provide HTML/XML/SVG/JS content. If they recognize that they are more than one or two implementations to target they may feel inspired to provide more standard compliant and portable data. This will be beneficial to our users and us but all of their current and future users.
