What makes K/F Communications different from many other tech-PR firms is the dedication of partners Julie Karbo and David Fonkalsrud on all accounts. Through smart, creative and sustained positioning and execution, K/F Communications has helped many of its clients assume leadership positions in their respective markets. For example, K/F Communications signed on with Digg.com, an online news aggregator, before its launch in 2005. K/F Communications worked with the start-up company developing a strategic positioning platform that addressed the company’s goals, target markets, competitive landscape and communications objectives. K/F then began an aggressive media, analyst and blog outreach program and within only nine months, Digg went from a relative unknown to one of the hottest companies—not only in Silicon Valley, but around the world (Digg co-founder Kevin Rose appeared on Business Week’s August 2006 cover issue) Digg continues to grow in success and its popularity among both its users and the media has flourished through K/F Communication’s guidance. As Digg’s CEO Jay Adelson notes, “The K/F team launched Digg from an unknown entity into a well-known global brand. The results they achieved for us in our first four years have been nothing less than phenomenal.”
