Kent County Arc - Trudeau Center - Serving People with Developmental Disabilities - Warwick, Rhode Island

Description

About Us

For more than four decades, we at the Trudeau Center have been leaders in developing and providing individuals with disabilities meaningful opportunities within their communities. Our founder, J. Arthur Trudeau, dedicated his life to building this organization to serve individuals with varying disabilities by providing them with day, residential, and recreational activities within the community of Kent County. Since then, the organization has grown to provide services that meet an individual's needs across their entire life span from infancy to their elderly years.

Today, we serve approximately 1,200 individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Rhode Island and these numbers continue to grow. We have a diverse and talented team of more than 500 professionals ranging from qualified direct support professionals to specialized clinicians. We are governed by an elected voluntary Board of Directors, comprised of dedicated, professional business and community leaders, and parents.

We are committed to providing individuals and/or their families with quality services and resources to address their needs. As an affiliate of the national Arc, we work collaboratively with our local, state, and federal government to advocate for an improved quality of life of individuals with disabilities. We welcome assistance from our community members to help us provide opportunities that promote full participation for all people.
