Transplanted from New Jersey many years ago, I bring an east coast Jewish sensibility infused with California seasonings to my work. Steeped in a tradition of service, I’ve spent most of my adult life engaged in volunteer and paid work aimed at promoting social justice or helping people who suffer. Along the way, I have been a sign language interpreter and counselor for Deaf and hard of hearing people, and worked as a social worker for home health, hospice, and a dialysis center.
