John Wood Community College's main campus is located in Quincy, Illinois, in the heart of the midwest. Quincy is on the banks of the Mississippi River where it swings furthest to the west. In 1996, John Wood Community College began an exciting new phase with the purchase of a new campus site at 48th and Harrison. Classes were held in the new Science and Technology Center in January of 1998, and the Learning and Student/Administrative Centers were occupied in December 2001.
