Julie Bernstein Engelmann earned her degrees on both coasts: her M.F.A. from UCLA and her B.A. from Barnard College in New York City, where she was fortunate to study with first-generation abstract expressionist Milton Resnick. Julie's paintings have won many First Place and Best of Show awards in western Pennsylvania. She is represented by La Fond Galleries in Pittsburgh, and is a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Society of Artists.
