When the Interstate Commerce Commission was formed in 1936 to impose new transportation regulations, our company founder, Joseph A. Morten, started a business to help truckers obtain operating authority from the states. His son, Joseph W. Morten, joined the business, and they sought to meet the other needs of his clients, such as insurance. In 1956, Joe Morten and Son was formed.
