Singer & Associates is an Independent Contract Lobbying Firm. A lobbying firm that has proven to be very effective in lobbying the Legislature for over 16 years.
John Singer is a former member of the Colorado House of Representatives. While in the Legislature, he personally carried numerous bills through the legislative process. He enjoyed unusual success as a legislator and had the distinction of being the only member of the 55th General Assembly to pass into law every bill that he sponsored. His experience allows him to quickly analyze a piece of legislation and its potential effects on the client. Often in the legislative process, an amendment will be presented without any forewarning, and legislators will want to be quickly informed of its effect on the clients the lobbyist represents. Although this type of analyses is no substitute for a more detailed analysis by the client, this initial screening often eliminates a potential problem before it develops. Being a Professional Lobbyist has allowed John, on numerous occasions, to prepare amendments, or amendments to amendments, "on the fly", to protect clients' interests.
Singer & Associates have successfully represented many businesses and organizations before the Legislature and other local government entities. They have represented groups as diverse as the RTD (Regional Transportation District), Chevron Oil Company, the Bingo Hall Owners & Suppliers Association and the Screen Actors Guild. John, and others who have worked with him have lobbied various issues ranging from inventory taxes and Workmen's Compensation to lien laws and water rights.
