YITZHAK BUXBAUM is an inspired and inspiring teacher and storyteller, one of those reviving the honorable calling of the Maggid (preacher), who in times past travelled from community to community to awaken Jews to the beauty of their tradition.
Yitzhak teaches and tells stories with warmth and humor. He often sets the mood by leading singing. And he creates the exciting and enlivening atmosphere of a special event, in which everyone is involved. Judaism is communicated in a way to reach the committed as well as the curious, those who are near, along with those who are now far -- but just need someone to offer them a welcome at the door.
Yitzhak's approach is not denominational or sectarian and is for Jews of all backgrounds. His programs are appropriate for different age-groups: teens, college-age, adults and seniors. The programs are entertaining. They are also genuine spiritual experiences. As the Rabbis say: What comes from the heart, enters the heart.
