About us
Founded in 1992, Jena-Optronik GmbH develops and produces optoelectronic instruments and systems, laser control sensors, and software for satellites and for image analysis to be used by the international aerospace industry. The company can rely on 120 highly qualified employees and the unique know-how gained at the location Jena.
Jena-Optronik belongs to the pioneers of multi-spectral space cameras. Whether meteorological satellites or cameras for the acquisition of environmental or geo-information data, the solutions are primarily designed as a long-term, continuous information source. This technology trend is supported by one of the company's latest developments the multi-spectral aerial camera Jena Airborne Scanner JAS. It's counterpart in space is the product line Jena Spaceborne Scanner JSS.
Furthermore the experiences of the company covers on-board data-management, software architecture for instruments and sensors, SAR-data and image processing as well as tailor-made end-to-end-solutions for its customers in earth observation.
