This evening I was waiting for my son to come out of work in your store at Aventura Mall, in Aventura , Florida ( zip code 33180). I arrived at 10:08 pm. to the exit that your employees leave from and witnessed, as I pulled up, three employees leaving.
I sat in my car facing the exit and waited for my son to come out of work. At approximatly 10:16 pm my son was at that door. The security person at the door aws speaking to my son when he turned and went back in the store and disapeared.
At 11:03 pm I stopped a women leaving your store ( as I believed her to be a manager of some sort after watching her through my car front window )and told her that I was waiting for my son and was not feeling well and how could I find out how much longer it would be until my son would be dismissed from work. Her response to me was to knock on the door and asked the security to get him for me.
I did as I was told and went up to the door as employees were exiting and waited and then asked her where was my son, who she spoke to as he was exiting this evening) and that she sent back in. I had been in my car facing your exit waiting for my son, just shy of an hour, when I had approuched her. This women's response to me was a roll of her eyes and a look with such an attitude that no one deserves and then she asked me my name which I told her and said that didn't she need my son's name and told her who he was and then explained to her that I was not feeling well and could she please get my son. Her response to me after I explained who my son was that he could not leave because the store was not fully recovered and that she had sent him back in to help other departments in the store. Now by this time I had been waiting about fifty-three minutes facing your exit door watching as your employees left the store. She would unlock the door and let them out. Some she spoke to but not one other employee did she send back into the store. My son happened to be the only caucasion person also that went to leave for the first half hour that I was there waiting and watching. Now again I pleaded with this women to please find my son that I was really not feeling well and had just had to take several pain pills and could she please get him so we could leave. She again gave me a look with such a bad attitude and said no that he could not leave until the store was recovered. I then told her that this was my son and I needed to speak to him and asked her to get him for me as I was not feeling well. She refused and I told her then she could then she had the responsibility to give him a ride home that I was in too much pain to wait for an undisclosed amount of time and at that time was really fed up with her ghetto attitude towards me.
Now within that hour that I watched and waited for my son he was the only one that she sent back in to the store and also was the only caucasion person (and also a minor) to try to leave in the first half hour after closing time.
Now if this is the way your employee speaks to a person who could have been a "shopper" for all she knew or someone that now will not go into a jc penny at all after I was treated that unmannered and rude way. You should know how some of your employees are treating and speaking to possible customers.
I will also ask my son to look for another job. One that the employees are better trained and mannered. I let it go also when it was before christmas and he was kept til after midnight on a school night. I thought there were laws about minor children working after midnight when there is a curfew in effect on a school night.
Also in that hour that I had waited and watched your store exi8t this security women also left her station with another female employee. She did not return for a sort time while customers came to the exit along with several employees and were locked in and unable to leave. Then again she left her station and came back with another female employee and played around with some very risque lingerie that the other women was waving around.
Basically this email is to inform you of your employees attitude which after six back surgeries and one more this month to emplant a morphine pump into my spine I really do not need nor deserve. Would this women tell my son that he could not leave if there was a medical emergency because the store was not fully recovered. And why was my son the only employee to be sent back in to work to help with this recovery in the hour that I observed your exit?
I will also let my friends and neighbors know what kind of treatment I received and also let everyone know how you overcharge and how quality in your products below average. The first day I wore my chritmas gift from my son it broke as one of the rings around the clasp was not closed in the right way as it caught on my sock.
 Sincerly,
 Caron Caplan-Attardi
