- It is great to look back and be able to say, “We are getting better”. I have returned to the helm of the JCC at the General Assembly where the members so straightforwardly demanded my continued service. And from that day it was clear that JCC and the Namibian SME sector are to be considered priorities in anybody’s’ diary. The organisation now formally exist for five years and despite numerous challenges, limited financial capacity we managed to put the SME sector on top of any map. Nowadays it is unimaginable to think about any given plan related to economic development or poverty alleviation without mentioning the SME sector. The JCC has managed to research this sector and provide stakeholders with tangible data, clearly informing how many SMEs there are in which sector and what their contribution to the overall economy is, etc.
