Jades is not a name, but an acronym for the names of my sons, my niece and my nephew. It is also a composite of my husband's and my nicknames. So, who is behind the name "Jades"?
Wendy Gourley. I was born and raised (mostly) in Milton, Ontario. My family moved to Barrie, Ontario when I started high school, but currently we are back in Milton. My family has a good history in Milton, of which I am proud. My grandfather, Sam Sherratt, was employed as a custodian at J.M. Denyes Public School for many years. He was so loved by the students at the time, that when a new elementary school was built in 1981 and needed a name, many residents of Milton voted to have it named after Sam. Now, a 25-year-old school, it is a very awesome heritage.
So how did I get into Web Design? When I was in high school, computers fascinated me. In fact, I don't think there was a course offered in computer science that I didn't take. When I entered university, it was my goal to become a computer science teacher. But my plans got sidetracked and it was many years before I was to return to my initial fascination with computers.
