In the middle of January 2003, my husband and I flew up to Washington State for a weekend sailing trip to Victoria, Canada. My husband's cousin purchased the gorgeous Concordia, and we were the crew for its maiden voyage. Luckily it was not too cold on the day we set sail, although it wasn't very windy either, so our journey across the Juan de Fuca strait started slow.
This first jaunt was not without its trials however because not only were we the crew but the rookie crew, as neither my husband nor I had ever sailed before. Luckily my husband's cousin knew what he was doing and led us to safety in the Victoria harbor. Exhilarated and exhausted, my husband knew we would one day set sail on our own.
The crew was able to spend the entire next day regaining our land legs by exploring Victoria, an absolutely beautiful city. While walking through downtown, we found a great little tea shop, full of flavorful and aromatic teas. We thought we were in heaven! We spent as much time as we could afford asking questions and tasting samples. My husband and I were excited about the prospect of offering such a diverse tea selection to the people back home in Reno, Nevada. One year later, izadra was born. After spending a year researching teas, tea varieties and blends, we are proud to offer you what we feel is the most unique tea selection available. Our philosophy is to create a premium tea flavored not by sugars or artificial flavors, but rather by real pieces of fruit, nuts, and chocolate. izadra's initial line of nine teas, three herbal, three black, and three green, is sure to surprise you with their unique flavor and beautiful bouquet.
