Based in Washington, DC, The Institute of World Politics (IWP) is a non-profit, independently operated graduate school that focuses on national security and international affairs. Offering Master’s degrees and graduate-level certificates of study along with a continuing education program, The Institute of World Politics provides curricula that are interdisciplinary in nature. Students and professionals seeking careers related to statecraft and diplomacy in both the private and public sectors will benefit from the experienced faculty and carefully constructed degree programs at IWP.
The school’s curriculum focuses on six areas of study. These encompass a comprehensive examination of statecraft, defined as the use of military intervention to protect national security, economics, comparative politics, and diplomatic history. The faculty includes individuals with high-level experience at the Department of Defense, in diplomatic positions, and at the Peace Corps.
The Institute of World Politics holds accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is recognized by the District of Columbia Education Licensure Commission. As an independent educational institution, IWP operates on funds generated through tuition fees and donations. Because the Institute is designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit operation, donations made to IWP are tax-deductible.
