It's been a busy year for recording, and several projects are being wrapped up. My new CD titled (descriptively enough) Clawhammer and Dobro will be manufactured and delivered by June 19, so pre-orders will ship on June 20. It features clawhammer banjo as much as dobro on another batch of original tunes. Musicians include Mason Tuttle, David Keenan, Chad Manning, Mary Lucey, and Jon Stickley. I just finished tracking a CD with Billy Cardine of The Biscuit Burners. There are a few more things to do before we mix, but it should be done before too long. There are several songs with 2 dobros, a clawhammer/3-finger banjo duet, a clawhammer/Chatturangui duet, and more. All-original instrumental compositions plus two vocal covers. With Dan Bletz (guitar), Jon Stickley (mandolin/guitar), Mary Lucey (vocals, bass), and Shannon Whitworth (vocals) from the Biscuit Burners, as well as Billy Constable (mandolin) and Old School Freight Train's Darrell Muller (bass).
The debut CD for The Breakmen is just about ready for the manufacturer. I had the pleasure of producing the CD and playing on 7 of the 11 songs.
