Description
One of the most important producers of intravenous infurion was implementing a 24/7, 3 shifts working program, so it needed a redimensioning of it’s IT infrastructure. The technologies used were Microsoft based (Windows 2000 Server, Exchange Server 2000, ISA 2000) configured for redundancy and to support the new activity increase.
ITPS Timisoara finished the implementation of a packaging solution for software deployment using the Microsoft .msi format. Any application installed on a Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP platform can be formatted in a .msi package, wich in turn can be automatically deployed over a network environment without administrator intervention. This solution allowes customising the instalation parameters for certain group of computers, and the automated updating and patching of the original installation kit. We have implemented this application to a well known educational institution in Timisoara.
