iTEC - the Information Technology Education Center in Florida - was formerly known as the Southeast Center for Networking and Information Technology Education. iTEC was established to promote the development of curricula, processes, and infrastructure that will improve programs and create a statewide delivery system to educate and train technicians. This in turn will help area business and industry meet workforce shortages in the disciplines of computer networking and information technology. The Center represents a statewide partnership of educational institutions led by two community colleges, three school systems and two major state universities. This initiative builds on several existing successful initiatives.
