Description
The International Racquetball Tour (IRT) is a showcase of events that display's the best players in the world as they as they hit the ball at speeds close to 200 mph! Founded in 1990, the IRT season runs from August- May and includes over 30 sanctioned events throughout North America.
The IRT is showcased at one of the most prestigious events in racquetball, the US Open and at the newly added Motorola IRT Pro Nationals, which debut every year on National TV. The “Made for TV” portable court allows television and its millions of sports enthusiasts the opportunity to watch this exciting sport. The IRT’s future depends on events such as this, which showcases these talented athletes and their awesome skills. With more than 300 professional racquetball players on the tour each event promises to be unpredictable as any player has a chance to walk away with a new title.
One of the major goals for the IRT is to inform the public on the sport of professional racquetball and the stars it includes. With your help and the help of others we feel that racquetball will be the next generation of extreme sports.
