For the first time in many years the Senior Minister at the Department of Transport will assume responsibility for Road Haulage. Commenting, IRHA President, Jimmy Quinn, said he very much looks forward to working with the new Minister, Mr. Noel Dempsey, T.D. “Minister Dempsey is an experienced politician and I have no doubt we will be able to do business with him. Whatever is on his agenda will be on our agenda,” stated Jimmy. “However, while we have plenty of specific items on our own agenda we expect that the Minister will allow our sector thrive and help create and sustain a business environment where this can happen,” he added.
